The Deceived Sorcerer’s Son is the 3rd in this series of Uncle Jack’s Children’s Stories and tells the tale of Hubris and his sixteen year old son Dominique. Hubris is the King’s sorcerer and he and Dominique live in the castle with the king. One day Dominique disobeys his father which results in the wicked sorcerer Donovan conning Dominique out of Hubris’s magic wand. Donovan uses the wand to turn Dominique into a pot bellied pig who cannot talk and Hubris into a sickly old man with boils. Both are cast out of the castle to live in the forest. The only way the spell can be reversed is when Hubris tells the pig that he loves him but the pig can’t talk to tell Hubris this is how the spell can be reversed and Hubris doesn’t know the pig is his son Dominique!
