Jo (Josephine) is twelve and a half, and not particularly looking forward to yet another family fortnight in North Wales.
Despite her earlier misgivings, however, the holiday takes a definite turn for the better as she gets to know some of the locals… including an eighteenth century pirate! Clearly he needs her help to understand and deal with the modern world, and together they make a great team.
