Shattered

The day after Cassie makes her debut as a soloist with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, her dad destroys her treasured violin. Enraged, she runs away and meets a number of helpful and not-so-helpful strangers. While on the run, she unravels a terrible secret within her family. A painful violin secret. Within this secret is also the key to her sense of power, but will she use it? Written in lyrical prose, SHATTERED tells the story of Cassie's struggle to mend what may have been broken beyond repair.
