Island of Majuli is a children’s book designed to be fun for parents to read and meant to inspire kids to cherish the natural world around them. The illustrations are bold and bright to draw on children’s imaginations, and the story is written in a sing-songy style to make it fun for everyone. The tale is based on a true story in which a boy, Jadav, saved an entire island forest by planting trees. It’s a tale of adventure that includes tigers, elephants, crocodiles, and all sorts of other wildlife. Island of Majuli develops a wondrous appreciation of animals, forests, and all of nature.
