The Garden Incident

Taken in as an indentured servant when he was young, Malchus is devoted to his master, Joseph Caiaphas, the High Priest of Israel. Like his master, Malchus is greatly disturbed by Jesus, the renegade rabbi from Nazareth. As the rabbi's influence grows, Caiaphas determines his presence is a threat that must be done away with. When tensions reach their peak at Passover, Temple guards are dispatched to arrest the teacher and Malchus is directed to accompany them. Proud to help bring about the troublesome rabbi's end, Malchus eagerly heads to Gethsemane with the guard.
