Start with the Parts of the Violin and the Parts of the Violin Bow. Next, use this book and follow it with the Pretwinkle book, Twinkle and Guppies, Salmons and then Graduates. This will take a student through the first book of the Suzuki repertoire and much more with lots of extra songs we all should know. "The Keepers' is Book 2, "The Manatees" Book 3 and "The Dophins" Book 4. Add to this the Fiddle Songs and Canons and you will not only 'know' how to play the violin but you will have become a musician.
