Which child doesn’t instinctively know that there’s a hand lurking beneath your bed, just waiting to reach out and grab your ankle?
Teenagers Ben Ford and Sammy Pritchard had stopped believing in such nonsense long ago – until the night they found out it was the hand of the Catcher.
The Catcher hunts down any kid who, stumbling into a world of Scurriers, Dobblers and Nudwads, finds they can change into any creature nearby like some magically-powered chameleon.
And if he can’t catch the kids? – well, he’ll just take their parents as collateral instead.
