In May 1857 the Sepoy Rebellion broke out. It was an attempt by the Indians to kick all foreigners out of India -- especially the English -- who were ruling the country via the East India Company.
Caught in the middle of this revolt was an Old Man, his elephant, and three-hundred soldiers and refugees. How they fled to the safety of the British lines, with a massive treasure in tow, forms the basis of this exciting story.
