The Singer/Random House Literature Series balanced program for developing appreciation of literature. Specially designed creative dramatics material has been developed to promote intercultural understanding of a high order. The editors have worked extensively with teachers in the elementary school. The program in The Singer/Random House Literature Series was developed though this kind of reasoned judgment and field work.
