Written by Pauline Wilson Worth and published in 1909 this is a book containing six short stories about the old west. In the first tale Death Vallet Slim falls in love with the preacher's daughter. "The Princess" A young girl finds the truth about her past after growing up in a minning camp. "The Race for the Sun Beam" Two moners, partners but not friends, race to settle which one will be sole owner of their new gold strike. "Fourth of July Consolidated" A young man vowed not to make up with a girl till it snowed on the fourth of July. It just snowed. "Slippy's Salute" A younf boy wants his deceased grandfather honored on Decoration Day. "The Winning of Benjamin Senior" A son returnes from college with a "city girl" that he intends to marry. This doesn't set well with his ranch owner father.
