Mila and her friend Julie decide one day to go around the city to help everyone who needs it. In an atmosphere of joy and amusement, the two friends meet people with the most diverse and common problems, a father fighting with his son, children fighting on the street, the rights of a loving dog and are finally helped by a water mole when Mila finds herself with a thorn in her foot. The desire to help is common among children who, one day, become aware of the world around them and their needs. In this sense, history reflects a desire of children and allows them to socialize and better understand the world in which they live. The story is funny and full of ups and downs. As in the other stories in the series, the perspective from which it is told is that of the children, the characters themselves.
Julio Millares won the Vargas Llosa novel prize for his novel "El cielo no puede esperar" and the Imaginaria magazine prize for children's stories. He lived in Brazil, Italy, France, Mexico and Sweden before returning to his native Argentina. He is a professor at the Faculty of Arts of the National University of Cuyo.
