He made friends with the neighbors in Boyes Hot Springs, frequently crossed Hiway 12, and then met a woman who was endeared to saving him and called in the experts to rescue him. Not wanting to be caught, his distrust of the human race was profound. Through love and perseverance, he was finally found and sent to be rehabilitated at Dogwood Rescue Project in Sebastopol, CA.
