This Country Is My Country

language (Longhorn Publishers and Worldreader Feb. 17, 2016)
In this story, a girl named Kui teams up with her friend Wachera to plant trees and keep some domestic animals during the school holidays. They end up learning how to construct houses, but soon the time comes to go back to school… Kui’s younger brother George is less concerned with buildings and trees. He takes care of wild birds and is ready to fight it out to protect them from those who want to kill them. In the end, all children are joyful for having taken care of the environment in their different ways.

This Country Is My Country is the sixth story in a series of six supplementary class readers to be used with Keynote Primary English, a new primary-English course designed for the new syllabus.
