The chaos magic incident has stirred up many issues. Amnur hides out in the distant swampland that he knows as home, tending to his injured daughter in the midst of the early onset of winter. While he soldiers on and brings home the meagre rations he can scavenge, Sakura debates the course going forward: Sebastian knows of her father’s continued existence, and hers by extension. The Magi Council, too, know that fact. Neither has decided to act, but she wonders how long that will remain true. Could she force Sebastian to reconsider what he knows as the truth?
