Who am I?…and why am I telling you this story?I am of the Veil. You have never heard of me, but I have heard everything of you. Our role is to listen to those who cry those who despair and those who just need a helping hand when the weight of the world weighs them down. We live around you, but we'll never meet you, or at least, we were never meant to meet you. This is our sadness to bear. We know more about you than you will ever know about us. We are purposely in the shadow so that you may bask in the light, but yet we are also in the light.This is our joy. There is more than one of us, but we are all together, we are ripples of the same tide. We are the Veil and I am the Veil. If I hear you, the Veil hears you.Let me tell you the biggest secret of your young life.The walls around you are soft. In reality, they are like a piece of paper and like sand on a beach, your hands could sink into them but they do not.Yet, you may think I am a liar, or at least that I am telling you a tale that is hard to believe. You would want me to convince you, but I do not wish to convince you.
