The book is about a little Mongolian girl Iona and her horse. The children learn to ride before they walk. They ride in races as young as five years to thirteen some ride twenty-five miles. The book tells of their traditions and customs. How they raise their horses, and how the horses are important to their way of life. I want to thank Dorsey Fiske for editing the book for me, and special thanks to T.S. Oyuntsetseg who I call Iona my Mongolian friend who told me all about Mongolians and their way of life.
