Dr Gnaw

language (Blue Poppy Publishing Dec. 1, 2017)
When some dirty rat cuts the power at A.I.S. H.Q. Felix is sent to investigate.
Special Agent Felix Whiter prefers to work alone, but now he has a partner, Holly.
She’s a young pup, fresh out of training, and Felix must overcome his dislike of dogs, and stop a gang of criminals robbing the Akita-Shibu bank.
With some unexpected help, and a few nasty surprises, can Felix come out top dog...err, cat, again?

The second in the Animal Intelligence Services series, is set in the run up to winter. The animals have a special celebration around midwinter, which remembers a mouse called Chris, and his friend old father Squirrel who saved the animals one very cold winter by bringing sacks of cheese and nuts.
Felix is invited to a Chris-Mouse party at the Akita-Shibu Plaza. Everyone is just trying to have fun, but Hans the rat has other ideas as his gang attempts to rob the bank.
This is a work of fiction, however, to claim that none of the characters are based on real people would mean ignoring the fact that Olli the Owl is closely based on the author of the book.
As for any similarity between this story and a certain cult Christmas movie? Well that's just gratuitous isn't it?
Having said that, it is quite an achievement, to write a spoof of an 18 rated movie without uttering a single cuss word, or actually killing any of the characters. Not even the bad guys!
Mums and dads may well giggle even more than their kids. Well, that's the plan anyway.
