A vortex is a churning nuclear fireball, appearing out of nowhere, bringing utter destruction - and countless numbers of them were menacing the worlds of Civilization.

Neal ("Storm") Cloud, nucleonic genius, set out in his spaceship *Vortex Blaster* to track and destroy the vortices. What he finds extends far beyond any threat of nature. Set in the same universe as the "Lens" series.
