Children love listening to stories, and more so if the stories are about their parents' real encounters.
"We Love Learning Together" is designed to foster character building and bonding between parents and pre-schoolers through reading together and developing conversations with each other.
The first book of the series, "Where did I come from?" helps parents and caregivers to explain to toddlers and children how they were made and born. Parents are encouraged to create a scrapbook together with their children, using their own pictures to personalise their stories. We hope that this exercise will give parents courage and confidence to bridge difficult topics and build conversations with your children.
About the author
Kylie Tan enjoys watching how children and adults interact with one another. Kylie developed her love for reading and writing during her childhood. She vividly remembers how she tortured her mother by asking her to read and re-read her favourite stories with her many times a day. Kylie is now a mother of two good-humoured boys. She works with chronically ill individuals and families with children who have congenital disorders. She writes and paints to remind her readers that life is meaningful when we learn to love and accept one another.
