Lost and Found

Paperback (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform Oct. 15, 2014)
When Brett Donovan sees his friend, Jerry Winston, fighting for his life after a tragic accident, he asks himself the age-old question: Why do bad things happen to good people? Being the son of a pastor, Brett always had a strong faith, but it had never before been truly tested. Now he is left wondering if God really does exist, and if so, why would He allow Jerry to suffer. As Brett wrestles with his feelings, he receives advice for and against keeping his faith, adding to his confusion even more. Many folks are of middle school or high school age when they experience their first tragedy. It’s never easy and everyone handles these situations differently. In a time like this, it’s okay to stumble. It’s okay to ask the hard questions. But through it all, it’s even more important to remember that experiencing a traumatic event can cause us to lose hope altogether, or it can help us to realize just how solid our faith really is. My wish is that this book gives a real-world view of what it feels like when doubt starts to cloud our faith. Faith, hope and love may seem out of reach at times, but it doesn’t mean they ever are.
