Harper Heatherwood hasn’t been the same since she left Atlanta for a small town in the Pacific Northwest. The budding journalist and photographer started and new middle school and made a friend of Jack Tarrytown, and soon found a place in Nortbridge, Oregon, as a junior member of the local newspaper.

But the most remarkable change in her life came about with an invitation to join the Northbridge Garden Society, chaired by the reclusive Geraldine Lemon, whom she and Jack call The Lemon Lady. It didn’t take long for Harper to discover the society’s secret, and soon she and Jack were off on a pair of adventures that she could have never imagined back in Atlanta.
Now it’s Christmas time, and Harper Heatherwood and Jack Tarrytown find themselves faced with another mystery. The Lemon Lady’s antique crystal star is missing, and a trusted member of the Northbridge Garden Society just might be the culprit. Can they recover the crystal star in time for the Christmas ball?
