The Colors of America is a culturally-conscious, children's picture book series that encourages multiculturalism practice through basic color instruction.
Every installment of the series features an American culture or group. Ten colors are assigned to ten icons of the featured culture. The icons are depicted by child models who wear culturally-relevent attire reminiscent of the icon.
The vivid costumes and colors engage early learners in color instruction, and the short poems accompanying each icon help early readers enhance their literacy skills.
Upcoming books in the series will be the Asian American, Latinos, Native American, Americans with Disabilities, Women of America, Biracial Americans, Immigrants of America, Jewish Americans, and Muslim American Books of Color.
