Formula Q

language (Good Boy Books Sept. 21, 2018) , 1 edition
Brum! Brum! Vroom! Pew! Crash! Pow! Oh no! Arghh! I’m crashing!
Oh, hello there. I didn’t see you come in.

Let me explain. You see, what might look to a layman like me smashing action figures together is actually a crucial part of the deep, introspective creative exercise that led me to create Formula Q.
But what is Formula Q about, I hear you ask? Well, it’s simple.

In the Future, everything is pretty good, so, naturally, really cool flying cars called Jetcars are all over the place.
Racing in these really cool cars is the most popular Future Sport, and Vittoria Tarno (yes, she is a girl) is both the most accomplished racer and leader of Goofé Troupé, the most effective and Generally Excellent team of Jetcar racers on Earth (the planet).

One place where things are not pretty good is Mars (the planet). When Admiral Suresh, leader of the Martian space force, throws down the interplanetary gauntlet, Vittoria and Goofé Troupé can’t turn him down (although some of the reasons are secret, shhh!)

Jetcar racing on Mars turns out to be a lot more dangerous than on Earth, and as the stakes rise, Vittoria’s whole team learn the very real, very dangerous reasons behind Suresh’s challenge. As they race for their lives to combat the not very intelligent but extremely bloodthirsty plans of a power-hungry politician, they realize they could lose much more than first place.

Described by reviewers as ‘witty, funny and simply great’, a ‘thrill, action and sheer adrenaline rush’, and ‘an instant YA/NA classic… served up with a healthy dose of standout science fiction’, Formula Q is the second book in the series, but is fully self-contained.
