Arden Belcort was resigned to spending the summer in Watkins Cove, away from her home in Boston, away from her two fathers, who she’s very close to. She thought it would be a dull, lonely summer, and she certainly hadn’t expected to make any friends. So far, her summer hasn’t turned out anything like she had anticipated; starting with her mom falling in love with an old love from the past, and then moving in with him and his daughter, Claire, to everything about Cooper Watkins.
She didn’t want to like Cooper, at least not as anything other than a friend, but there’s just something about him that makes him hard to ignore. Still, she’s determined not to fall for him, or anyone else, since she fully intends on leaving at the end of the summer.
But, as she’s learning, things don’t always go as you plan, and sometimes all you can do is go with the flow and trust your heart.
