The Martha Washington Cook Book

In the Division of Manuscripts of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania lies a small, brown, leather bound book. It is the cookbook used at Mount Vernon, the "rules" from which brought fame to Martha Washington as a housewife and hostess. Originally published by Coward-McCann in 1940, this is now reissued as a 2nd edition by Tresco Publishers.
