Brief Summary by Poppy Hutchinson: George is infuriated when her Father proposes to 'borrow' her Island for the Easter holidays, and go and live there in a temporary 'tower' he has had built in the Castle Yard. Not even the fact that it is all due to some important Scientific work he is performing, will content her; but will the holidays prove to be more eventful than the dull days George imagines, when the option of visiting Kirrin Island is impossible? Things take a turn when Uncle Quentin suspects a trespasser on the Island, and requests Timmy's company, George becomes aware of a hair-raising mystery evolving around her Island.
