Helen Morris was just a normal teenage girl trying to get by in life with her single hardworking mother and her missing deadbeat dad. Her world felt hard but peaceful, and she wanted nothing more than to help her mom. Then one day, on her way back home, she took a shortcut through the woods. Years of taking this path meant nothing on this day, as something inexplicable led her to discover something that would not only change her life but prevent her from returning home; vampires.

Now she must learn how to adjust to her new life, new dangers, and new friends, or else find away to escape this world she's been thrust into.
