Pam and the Boy She Hates

(Independently published June 28, 2018)
Be careful about kissing the enemy, even if it’s just for the school play. Serious side effects include feeling dizzy, breathless, a rapid pulse, and the inability to think straight.

Pam and Ethan have been enemies ever since Ethan played a prank on Pam in middle school. She thinks he’s an immature jerk who can’t ever be serious about anything for more than a second, and he thinks she’s stuck-up and incapable of having fun. Neither can fathom spending time together outside of school, yet that’s exactly what they both need to do in order to better their grades.

But once they start spending more time together, they begin to see the good qualities in each other. Now they must be careful not to fall for one another because Pam’s already crazy about an anonymous boy she met online and Ethan’s falling fast for an incognito girl from the internet as well. Keeping their mutual attraction at bay becomes extra hard, however, once they both land leading roles in the school play and must rehearse a kissing scene together.

The physical chemistry is undeniable between Pam and Ethan. But that doesn’t make what they feel about their online crushes any less real. Both will need to make a decision soon about who they prefer to be with. Will they choose each other? Or will they both stick with their online crushes instead? There’s only one way to find out...
