The draw and write journal pages consist of a border with leaves and tiny flowers in the upper and lower corners of the page. Lots of blank space is found on the page as well. Kids can also draw and color around the outside of the border. Encourage your kids to use this space to write about what they find along a hiking path or outside in their backyard. Children can write about things they see such as birds, specific plants, animals and trees. They can also use this space to draw trees, flowers or anything they like.

The majority of the book is filled with these nature-themed pages. Children might also want to decorate some of the pages with stickers or glue leaves that they find on various pages. The possibilities are endless when it comes to this book.

**Bonus** coloring pages are also found throughout this book. The mix of coloring pages varies from very basic to more advanced. The happy flower coloring pages only appear once in the book, but some of the leaf, butterfly and detailed floral pages repeat two or three times. Your child can color some of the roses on one page with red and pink and then she can choose to create rainbow roses on another page. Parents are also encouraged to color in some of the images with their children. We hope you enjoy these coloring pages. Young children may need help coloring in some of the more advanced images.
