The Fifth Gospel: A Primer Travel Guide to the Holy Land

This book is written in response to the many questions which members of tourist groups to the Bible Land have posed through the years. Each topic merits a volume of exhaustive information in an attempt to give a succinct overview of issues. It is written primarily in lay language for the everyday visitor to the Land of the Bible, not written with a primary intent of sharing new scholarship. This book is offered with the prayer that it will aid persons in the understanding of the Bible. It has as its target audience three groups: • Those who are going to visit the Bible Land and desire insight into what to expect. • Those who have visited the Bible Land and want a better understanding of what they saw and heard. • Those who will never visit the Bible Land, but would like a virtual trip to the Bible Land in order to better understand the Bible. Every thought has a background. A knowledge of the setting, the spokesman, and the sphere from which a thought emerges helps to bring understanding to the concept. The goal of this boo is to introduce to the first-time visitor—or to confirm for the reader—the profound relationship between the biblical land and the message which the Holy Book has held for humanity throughout the generations.
