Great Smoky Mountains: Ridge Runner Rescue

In the sixth book of the Adventures with the Parkers series, the family heads east to the most visited national park in the country: the Great Smoky Mountains. The Parkers enjoy backpacking along the Appalachian Trail, where they learn the unusual history of the area and experience the amazing diversity of the park, spotting both synchronized fireflies and the world’s largest salamander.
