Seekers

Fifteen-year-old Ethan has run away from the orphanage. Confronted by Tareg, a large talking cat, it transpires that this beast has been waiting for him to enter its domain in the third dimension. Here Ethan discovers he is destined to seek out a terrible foe intent on conquering the earth, and every living thing within it. Together with Boadwell, the young man chosen to accompany him on his dangerous journey, they have many perilous encounters with shadow seekers, the black creatures who are programmed to seize human beings and annihilate them. But the creatures turn carnivorous and begin eating their captives. The situation seems out of control for Ethan and his companion, until they are befriended by an entity from a distant galaxy and given instructions on how to defeat the enemy
