100 years ago today, a little girl outside San Francisco, California found a stone with a thousand-year-old inscription saying that somewhere in the mighty world a Spanish explorer Hernán Cortés hid gold in a lake. It is on display in the Museum of Natural history in New York City. For the next 50 years, people quit their jobs, left school to find the treasure. After that many people stopped searching a generation has come and gone. People have gone to wars for money to buy more equipment for their quest for riches.Only a few people now in 2020 still believe they can find the gold. Those main people are John Miller, Ben Lewis, his twin brother Reed Lewis, and Lucas Lynn. They want to find the treasure and put it in a museum before people like the rich evil Lee Murphy can find it and sell it on the black market. A clue has not been found in 30 years, but can they find one now, and if so can they find the treasure.
