Chapter 1 Perhaps you may have heard of the Little Lady who lives int he HOuse of Many Windows, which some people call an apartment house because they do not know that it is really a great castle, with dungeons beneath and battlements at the top, from which you can see ever and ever so far- way over the River of the East, even to the Far Land of Trees and Fields where the Little Lady goes in the summer time.
