The Chosen Tree

It was the worst kind of day. I watched the people as I always did, and I saw some very hard looking men coming toward me. They had saws and axes in their hands, and I knew my time had come. The Chosen Tree is Jim Baileys poignant childrens story told from the perspective of the beautiful tree that would helplessly become the cross on which Jesus was crucified. The Chosen Tree is a story of sacrifice, servitude, and most importantly, forgiveness. Jim Bailey is retired and lives in Kennewick, WA, with his lovely wife of forty-six years, Jan. He enjoys woodworking, and writing short stories and poems. He is a member of St. Joseph Parish in Kennewick. He enjoys the company of his many friends, family, and eight grandchildren.
