The Viking

In the summer of 1026, a Viking chieftain named Thorsson and his crew sail along the coast of modern-day Maine in search of treasure. But when a mutiny breaks out and Thorsson is murdered, Thorsson curses the rebellious group with his last breath. In a final moment of rebellion, the men bury Thorsson’s weapons outside of his grave, forever condemning him to never be taken to Valhalla, the goal of every Viking warrior.

One thousand years later, fourteen-year-old Jonathan discovers Thorsson’s rune stone, and the chieftain’s spirit enters the boy’s mind in an attempt to force him to reunite the slain Viking with his weapons. Terrified beyond description, Jonathan lives in a constant state of fear but no one believes his outlandish tale. As archeologists and shady collectors swirl around the grave site and its priceless artifacts, Jonathan is forced to take matters into his own hands or forever be tormented by the restless spirit.
