Cancer is a very tough subject for children and adults. This book talks about cancer in a way young child can understand. The book teaches about cancer using the true story of our dog, Meiklo, and how he gets better after chemotherapy. The story covers finding out he had cancer, and how he gets chemo, with drawings from his treatments, and how he went into remission. The words are simple, and each page has a cute drawing of the dog (taken from real life) for each part of the story.
Pictures are drawn from real life, and words are meant to make this topic understandable for younger readers, with hope for cancer fighters, and the families that support people with cancer.
