The Morning Sunshine

The Morning Sunshine is one of GuoGuo Chinese Reading series for children. It introduces young readers one of basic Chinese characters “日” (the sun) and some other characters with “日”as their radical. Through reading, the children are able to explore the conventional sentence structures e.g., the sun shone down on the grass. The little rabbit happily said, “Hello Sun!” Also, the book uses visual cues, English language and Pinyin to help children understand vocabulary related to this topic, e.g., sunlight, garden, river, fish, little boy, squirrel.The interesting pictures also allow young readers to make connections to their own experiences and develop their imagination.
