Never judge a book by its cover.
The old book Celia Fincastle finds looks like everything else in Aunt Agatha's sorely neglected attic: dusty and dull. It certainly doesn't appear to be anything special. But as soon as she opens it, Celia discovers that it most definitely is not just another book. Soon she's whisked off to a school far away from the only home she knows and enters an adventure she never imagined could happen.
On top of a new school, new classes, and new friends, she's shocked to find out that everyone knows her name. She's supposed to be some kind of leader when she's older; all she has to do is finish school. That turns out to be harder than she thought when someone tries to get her expelled. Celia must uncover the person behind the plot before it's too late, but there's more at stake than she realizes...
