Each Childhood of Famous americans book in the series has a somewhat embellished story of the subject's childhood based on known facts along with the last couple chapters of more classic non-fiction describing the subject's adulthood (and for what they are famous). They also help instill old-fashioned American values. I'd recommend for grades one to six depending on the reader's ability (they're probably at third or fourth grade level). ( Amazon customer)
