Soccer Day

language (CreateSpace Dec. 16, 2016)
Jack just had the worst day of his life, and he knows it could cost him big. He is a twelve year old, short-tempered, mediocre boy whose only passion in life is soccer and derives his self-worth from how well he does on the field. Even as he dreams of becoming a pro soccer player one day, his soccer performances are inexplicably patchy. But he fiercely resists any discussions about it.
However when he gets into big trouble (of his own making) at school, he is forced to make a choice : open up about his mental issues or forget about soccer.

When given a chance at resurrection, he grabs it with both hands and along with his three soccer buddies, overcomes many obstacles, including the biggest one - his own self. During his journey, he makes new friends, addresses leadership challenges and solves a long-standing school problem, culminating in the best day of his life.

"Soccer Day is a different way to engage the 8-12 year old reader; it’s a unique blend of an entertaining sports story with a message on relevant topics of anti-bullying, mental focus and leadership."
