A human pilot on a transport ship manages to escape its destruction by a Centauri ship. The pilot makes his way to the Drazi homeworld. Word of the pilot's arrival reaches Babylon 5 from a former colleague of Garibaldi, Tafiq, who believe the pilot's testimony may reveal who is attacking the Alliance's shipping lanes. Sheridan has Garibaldi go to the Drazi homeworld and suggests he bring Dr. Franklin along, but Garibaldi rejects his help, believing the mission would be better alone. On Drazi, Garibaldi meets with Tafiq, who states that the pilot will plan to meet them tonight and has arranged transport off the planet the next day. The two spend the time talking about their past, when Tafiq brings out an alcohol beverage for them to share. Garibaldi at first refuses as only until recently he had been dry, but soon joins in. As the meeting hour approaches Tafiq leaves a sleeping Garibaldi to prepare, but he is then attacked outside. The noise wakes Garibaldi, who finds Tafiq moments before death, and realizes the pilot is waiting for him. He rushes to meet the pilot, but finds another agent over his body, having already killed him. He briefly fights with the cloaked figure, grabbing a button from his outfit before the figure escapes. Drazi authorities are drawn to the scene, and Garibaldi is forced into hiding. He manages to contact Babylon 5 and arrange transport back to the station.
