Eczema Treatment: Calmer Skin From The Inside Out: Eczema Relief

eBook ( Oct. 16, 2017)
Medical doctors will usually agree that eczema is caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors. They will prescribe medication to treat the symptoms that the individual presents with but will not usually try to find the root cause. Many of the medications that are prescribed e.g. steroids, antihistamines and antibiotics have side effects when used for short periods or long periods of time. Managing the symptoms in this way can make eczema worse. The problem with the conventional medical approach is that the body is not treated holistically. All the parts of the body are treated separately ignoring the fact that they are connected to other body parts and systems.

When you research alternative health therapies e.g Traditional Chinese Medicine, Homeopathy, Islamic Medicine etc they all agree that eczema is related to an imbalance within the immune system. Our diet and lifestyles are very important in the treatment of eczema.
Ruling out possible triggers like dust mites, pet dander, being too hot or too cold, dust mites, harsh soaps, shampoos and detergents and foods that could possibly cause allergic reactions like dairy, eggs, wheat, Soya, and seafood will help to reduce flare-ups. Stress and hormonal changes are often overlooked when considering possible eczema triggers, but we will discuss this in more detail later on.

A good skincare routine is essential when you have eczema. Showering or bathing with warm water and then applying moisturizer soon after leaving the bath or shower will help the skin to retain its moisture. Avoid using harsh soaps, showers and detergents that may cause the skin to dry out or cause an allergic reaction. Applying more moisture throughout the day as and when required will help to keep the dryness to a minimum and reduce the itching.

This ebook is divided into four easy to read steps, Step 1 - Allergy Testing, Step 2 - Eating to Reduce Inflammation, Step 3 - Reducing Stress, Step 4 - Natural Ways To Treat Eczema and the Resources section towards the back containing a Stress Questionnaire, Relaxation List, Stress Awareness Diary and Food Allergy Journal.
