A New Kind of Life for Eddie Eagle
Paperback
(PublishAmerica March 24, 2008)
Jeff and his dad were exploring in the forest when they came upon a baby eagle that had fallen from its nest. They saw that it had been badly injured in the fall. Jeff couldnt leave the baby eagle; it was too young to fly and would surely die. Jeff carefully carried the little eagle and as he and his dad were leaving the forest, Jeff named the little eagle Eddie. They took Eddie to Dr. Jones, the town veterinarian. After examining Eddie, Dr. Jones didnt think he would survive. Besides being in bad shape, both of Eddies wings were broken. Eddie would never fly. Jeff would not give up on Eddie and, with much love and care, Eddie did survive. Eddie began a new kind of life, but a good life, because of the love a little boy had for a special eagle.
