Saint James the Apostle was a poor fisherman who became one of the closest friends of Jesus and shared the key moments of his life. After Jesus died, James traveled far and wide to preach and brought the Christian faith to Spain. James was killed by an evil king and was the first of Jesus’ apostles to die a martyr. James is remembered today for his example of courage. This is his story.
