What's a hug to do?
This new board book edition of The Hug, with brand-new text and illustrations, is the story of one lonely hug. Feeling unneeded, the hug sets out to become something different. It uses its large round shape to turn itself into a tire swing, but the swinging makes the hug dizzy. When the hug tries to be a toilet seat, it finds the flush far too scary. Maybe all the hug really needs is a little practice to remember how good it feels to give -- and receive -- hugs . . . The playful illustrations by award-winning illustrator Yayo and Lesley Simpson's imaginative text overflow with warmth and compassion, inviting young children to recognize hugs in everyday objects and to imagine their own versions of hugs.
