I would reccomend the Land of Stories and maybe Wings of Fire, Warriors, Survivors, Seekers, and Bravelands if you want a challenge (there are more than 150 of them altogether, so it will keep your child occupied for a while. Also, Wings of Fire book 14 just came out today).

I've tried Science Comics and they work pretty well for a range of ages. Also, I might reccomend Land of Stories if you want some fiction.
