A heartwarming story about a doll named Constance who is stolen during the Great Depression, and the adventures she has with the homeless little girl named Sarah who stole her. Sarah travels with a group of hobos, riding freight trains all over America in search of work, and it is a very different life than Constance had in the mansion in Philadelphia where she used to live.
