These are six prize winning children's stories. They describe the various adventures of a mischievous crow in his constant struggle to fill his stomach.
He has one very good friend; the scarecrow, Mildew Scatterbrain, and he has many enemies. The farmer is his worst enemy, but he also works very hard making others, notably, Silver-Tonsils, the lazy and arrogant rooster, Max, the one-eyed dog, and an Owl, upon whom he played a great trick in the second of the six stories.
