Bob Adkins came to Southeast Alaska in 1964, planning to stay a year or two at the most. Forty-eight years later he's still here, and has lived "The Alaskan Dream" that many imagine, but few fulfill. Bob learned to fly in 1966 and went on to obtain private, commercial, instrument, and multi-engine ratings. He also became a certified flight instructor, and flew 12 seasons as a commercial air taxi pilot.
